The Women and Children Guidance Centre (WCG Centre) having its official address at Achanbigei Mayai Leikai, Imphal East, Manipur is a non profit making, non political, non religious organisation and member having the dedicated spirit in the field of public help and service, sticking to secularism on true democratic ground started working. The organisation emphasized on the income generating programmes and social upliftment of the women and children in the rural areas of the society.

Mission :
* The mission of the Women and Children Guidance Centre is to meet the long term livelihood need of the artisans by creating self sustainable and viable produced groups.
* To encourage community based enterprise by enhancing production and understanding of socio-economic status of the artisans.
* Help to provide shelter, counselling, medical care and essential commodities required for the needy people.
* To protect and encourage rich cultural heritage of the state and support the youth in sports.
Objectives :
The centre aims to promote the overall development of women, children, youth and elderly person in rural and urban areas of the state of Manipur, who are socially and economically deprived; to provide family centred home based intensive services to children, youth and elderly men & women in dysfunctional families in slums and backward areas in Manipur; to sensitise rural and urban women and children on various environmental issues and concerns through education, training and communication; to create public awareness on the rights of the women and child and to work for the promotion, protection and defence of their rights. It focuses on education sponsorship; home based care and school placement for children in dysfunctional families; referral services to children for problem children; family counselling; environmental education for children and children and women rights education. It is operational in service provision, capacity building and training, advocacy, networking, research and information.
Activities in brief :
The Women and Children Guidance Centre, Achanbigei has been imparting various activities in the field of art and culture and sports in which the state is known for. The centre conducts various programmes in HIV/AIDS and STD and precautionary measures to protect from it as the state is badly hit by the said diseases. Health Camp in rural areas also conducted providing free medical treatment for poor needy people who can not reach dispensary/hospital.
For self sustainable and economic growth, the organization impart various interventions i.e Skill Development programmes, Design Workshop, Seminars, Awareness Camp etc. to the handloom and handicrafts artisans of the state. To provide marketing linkages the organization endeavour to participate various Exhibitions in and outside the state. The organization promotes Self Help Groups (SHGs), Farmer’s Club of the village people, their linkages with the financial institutions for the growth of domestic as well as village industries. To increase the production of agriculture and horticulture products the organization provides technical support and training for high yield crops.
Target groups :
- Women, Children, youth and older persons who belong to low socio-economic status families in rural and urban areas.
- Children, young, elderly men and women who belong to SC/ST/OBC communities (socially oppressed classes in the state)
- Children and young men and women whose parents work in unorganised sectors, including agriculture.

- Donate sewing/embroidery machines and assisting poor destitute women to learn tailoring and embroidery for self support

Children :
